I came to the Okanagan many years ago from Canmore Alberta, eventually embarking on a new career path as my children grew older.
I have a general practice with a special interest in resolving and managing pain, as well as Fertility, both natural cycles and IVF integration protocols, stress and related issues, facial (sinus, TMJ, rejuvenation).
In 1999, I graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with over 2500 hours of academic and clinical training. I passed the first Board Regulatory exam in Acupuncture in 2001 (R. Ac) then the Regulatory exams in 2006, achieving the designation of Reg. Dr TCM.
I embarked on the study of TCM having experienced the deep therapeutic benefits of Acupuncture. Allowing energy (qi) to flow and removing blockages throughout the meridian system, gives one a new perspective and creates less stress reliant ways of being. The potential for Acupuncture to facilitate growth and promote health on all levels continues to drive my ongoing study.
Passionate about learning and deepening my understanding and application of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I have studied under notable clinicians and educators in the TCM field including Jane Lyttleton, Randine Lewis, Matt Callison, Beatte Strittmatter. My Post graduate studies include but are not limited to: Comprehensive Study in Fertility at the Jade Institute in Seattle, German Auricular Acupuncture, Womens wellness, applications in treating Pain (motor point needling, Gua Sha), Allergy Elimination technique.
I am an active cycler, hiker and perpetual student of yoga….and truly enjoy our Okanagan lifestyle.
